I'm trying to find a paid by the hour job delivering / collecting cars - either for someone like Cazoo (if they deliver them in Luton vans like it shows on the TV advert), or Mannheim or similar. I've tried the respective website, but they seem all about salaried jobs, which is not what I'm looking for. I only have a car licence, but it's from 1981, so I can drive anything up to 8,250Kg (I think)

At this point, I don't think I'm interested in "trade plating".

It doesn't actually have to be cars, but definitely not groceries or parcels.

I presume that there are temp agencies that deal with these companies - does anyone know which ones?

Have a look at car leasing companies, all my lease cars have been delivered / collected by drivers.

Not sure what's involved though as the pick up guys have to inspect the vehicle and fault find.

Live near any docks? There's hourly paid jobs moving vehicles from ships into holding areas around here, they give you a trade plate and there's a minibus shuttle back to the docks.

That's what Mannheim do - I'm sure there are other companies, but Leasys use Mannheim, which appears to be part of Cox Automotive. When I had a lease car collected, the inspection was done by one chap who was in his own car, and then a couple of days later, a minibus turned up and dropped off a driver who then took the car away. I'm looking for a job as one of the guys in the minibus - I'm fairly sure they're casual labour.

I live about as far from the sea as it's possible to get in the UK, so that one's probably a non-starter
