Has anyone recently gone through the Counter Terrorist Check ( CTC )?

I have got a job offer which requires CTC clearance. I should be fine but out of curiosity just wondering how long does it take to get the clearance. Also, do i need to attend any interview.

Unlikely interview. It’s below SC which I’ve never heard of an interview.

Do you have any concerns? It won't entail an interview, or for SC, DV yes. SC can take a couple of months, DV takes as long as your devious history takes to unpick...

If you've lived abroad within the last 5 years then you'll need an interview for SC level, it's basically the same 3-4hr process as the DV interview but they don't contact family and friends and only do limited digging into past financials. It also takes 3-4 times longer than a normal SC

my previous job required CTC clearance. No interview, mine took just under 8 months

8 months? I thought CTC only takes up to 2 months.

That requires SC UK National only, minimum.

my previous job required CTC clearance. No interview, mine took just under 8 months

8 months?!! That's mental.

My CTC took a couple of weeks. It's really low level so shouldn't take long at all. When I went througn DV it was months, but that's obviously more detailed.

my situation is a bit different, I wasnt born in UK but gain my Citizenship via post study work, and have some gap in my 5 years residency, it was a job in in MOD site
no interview, just a few calls asking for more info, and require a "no criminal record cert" from my home country

dont think I have, just employment history, detail about when I acquire the citizenship, date I first enter the country, gap in residency, personal detail about my family (partner, parent, siblings)
