What experiance do you have?
are you HGV with the likes of ADR or are you just past your test looking your 1st job?
What hours are you willing to do?
Are you married with kids or single with a will to do as many hours as poss while going to the loo in a bush every night?

Or maybe look at being the next top gear/5th gear/socal media car type broadcaster

OOO you could get to know the local hoods and become a gettaway driver, That is a bit of a risk depending on your driving skill and a sod it mindset would also help.

Train driver, although I'd assume you meant road vehicles only.

Real chauffeurs work for one employee and drive a Rolls. Most chauffeurs I’ve met are glorified taxi drivers wearing cheap suits and driving a leased Mercedes.

It’s also very hard to earn good money unless you own your own business and/or have been doing it for years and have a good client base.

Covid bankrupt a lot of companies offering “chauffeur” services.

Long waiting list for tests and lessons plus delays for CPC modules.

Best money is tanker but they are hard to come by and if you’ve no experience you’ve got zero chance. Do 12 months with an agency, because no one will employ you until then.
I’ve seen many job adverts ask for minimum of two years experience. Makes sense.

I used to drive for a living in the 80s, I made good money back then.

Van courier, 7.5 tonne truck driver, minicab driver and motorcycle dispatch rider.

Paid per job, vehicle supplied (apart from motorbike and minicab)

Easily pulled in £100 a day (this was the 80s remember)

I find it shocking that driving a van today, doing multiple drops won't pay as much as I go back then, 40 years ago.

I lived like a king.

Now I'm in a highly skilled job and struggle.

ETA there wasn't the stress involved in parking in London back then. Parking wardens gave you grace, clamping didn't start until the late 80s so you could park up, go and get a sarnie or no panic if a parcel wasn't ready.

I spoke to a minicab driver the other day who said that in many cases they have to just drive around until they get their next job.

Another great Green idea.

Only if you're Hamilton or Vestappen.

The rest and Stroll's Dad probably have made a loss to get there.

Those at the bottom probably are paying the team rather than the team paying them. The salary of a Pay Driver could come from the "sponsorship" they bring to the team.

I get minimum wage as a shunter who’s unable to shunt due to my age but this was only realised after they hired me and found out I’m not 25 yet biggrin

Now I’m a lorry/van valeter with a shunter job title if that counts

Minimum wage, part time with aspirations of a mclaren if I work hard for the next 25 years and don’t spend a penny!

Drugs courier
Once you've earned trust (that is the difficult part) but once earned you will gradually work up to bigger payloads or CASH,
Once you reach either tonnage (coke or h) or millions (gbp euros or $) forget zimbabwean dollars, ringet, or rupees.
That is the time to disappear and start a new life.

Good luck, you'll need it.

I've heard that driving tanks in Ukraine pays well, plenty of vacancies as most of the drivers don't seem to last long.

A lot of funeral directors are looking for casual drivers and bearers. I started out doing casual work and now have regular part time hours three days a week. It's not all driving though, there is a lot of behind the scenes work - get used to valeting the cars every day, sometimes two or three times dependent on the weather.

Might want to say what experience and qualifications you have

With none you'll struggle with anything other than setting up on your own

I suppose stunt drivers in the film industry are paid well but getting into that position isn't going to be quick or easy.

I know a guy that does stunt driving. Whilst it is well paid (if you look at the amount of money he gets for the amount of time they are on screen) what you don't see (or gets paid for) is the amount of preparation work often involved before they even look at shooting. A sequence that may last a couple of minutes on screen can take over a week to shoot. Added to the fact that you can go months without work and get two companies that want you at the same time. Not sure how well payed that actually works out at.

You'll earn more breaking into them than driving them these days.
