VW Group Pay Grades Milton Keynes

Hi All

Was hoping someone might be able to help, I've seen mentions of a couple of the pay bands historically for VW Group but was wondering if anyone has the current bands?

The JDs aren't great at showing which roles are more senior and as I have seen multiple job roles I am unsure which one to apply for.

Long time since I worked there, but they are generally the same across most car companies.

You have bands A-E.

A is admin and clerical so 20k ish
B is grad trainee or junior exec role so 25-30
C is lower middle so 28-42
D is middle, so 38-55
E is section lead so 60 plus.


All of these have outliers where they are paid a lot more due to time served, or recruited in from another brand. Ie it is entirely possible that a C grade long served employee is on 50k not that HR would want to recruit you if you want that kind of money for that grade of role.

Also they’ll all have a bonus on top, prob 10% for the lower ranks and 15% for the higher ones.


It’s not 100% accurate and you might have to add a bit for inflation as this was about 10’years ago.

Thanks, helps confirm that the roles I saw were more junior that the description suggested. Was hoping pay in this industry would be more competitive.

They have just laid off loads of people across all the brands and had a reshuffle particularly in what I would guess to be the C and D area.
