My wife is looking for work in the Pharma industry. She specialises in quality and audits. Her key work related skills are:
• Developing and Implementing Quality Management Systems.
• Project managing clinical and non-clinical staff to achieve desired accreditation.
• Designing and conducting training of clinical / non clinical staff.
• Conducting and writing scientific technical reports, validation master plans/reports and standard operating procedures. Documentation for clinical trials including Protocols, Sponsor & Ethics approval. Preparation of Abstracts for international conferences.
• Developing and creating e-CRF databases for a National Clinical Trial.
• Liaising with and managing third party providers to ensure timely delivery of project objectives.
• Clinical Research Data Validation. Initiating data queries and monitoring of sites.
• Knowledge and understanding of the MHRA guidelines / Code of Federal Regulations / ISO 9001 / JACIE / ICH-GCP / HTA.
• Managing and organisation of client audits and internal audits of the manufacturing site including technical follow up.
• Understanding production processes and being able to make quality and productivity improvements.
We are trying to focus on companies in Reading, Oxford, Bristol, Chippenham, Swindon, Bath areas. Chippenham looks promising with companies like Alliance healthcare, Vectura and Chiesi. Also Reading is a hub qith Quintiles, Bayer etc.
Any help is most appreciated.

INC/Inventiv now they are merging will be a good shout, PRA are hiring, Quintiles are always on the look out. I'd make a profile on LinkedIn and befriend a load of recruiters. Its the type of industry keeping recruiters pockets well and truly lined.
Good advice above. A strong profile on LinkedIn with an obvious "looking for new opportunities" in the header will bring the agencies quickly in to you. Following a few months of sabbatical, I went through the same process this year, also in Pharma. Don't underestimate your personal network.
It will depend on what type of technical area she has worked in. There is a high percentage of Biotech in and around Oxford and Bucks / Berks, so they will be looking for Bio or steriles experience generally but not exclusively.
To target specific companies, Google maps is a great resource to whittle down the targets. Type in Pharmaceutical when looking at the areas you are interested in and it will find them for you. Build a list (a big one !), review each company and whittle it down based on your own criteria (commute, business or whatever is important to you), then focus on the "main ones" without forgetting the smaller ones. Get her to log on to the big ones as they all have career portals.
She should get focussed on what she wants in terms of type of company as they all bring different flavours. Big, medium or small pharma ? Big players or contract mfgs ? Mfg area or commercial/ Regulatory quality ? Supply chain to pharmaceutical (Suppliers, LSP's) ? All of the above :-) ?

Don't work for Bayer or Quintiles but I've just given a decent sized contract to Quintiles to run one of my studies.
There are other options in that area as well, Boehringer Ingelheim, Sanofi, Shire, Alnylam etc. She could fit in well in a clinical studies unit or into medical affairs. PM me her CV if you like, I can cast an eye and also see if there's anything suitable with us.
