Yellow Fever is the one that you are often required to have. Passport control will turn you away and not let you in the country without it.
If you are working offshore your likelihood of getting rabies is low, so probs give this a miss.
Malarone is the cheap anti Malaria tablet, it can however have some weird side effects. I used to take Doxycycline instead which worked well and had no side effects for me.
I had a jab for Diptheria/Thyphoid etc.
Most travel clinics will best advise what you need.

I was a veritable pin cushion before I went, but the only one actually required was Yellow Fever.
I also had Rabies, Hep etc etc but decided against Cholera (was told it's not really effective) and I didn't take anti malarials as our Doctors in Angola advised me not to because they mask the early symptoms, meaning it's harder to treat if you actually do contract it.
Where are you off to?

Isn't Lariam the cheap anti Malarial? Thought Malarone was pricier in comparison and had limited side effects?Ynox said:

You'll be doing well if you can take Malarone for 4 months. I lasted one month and gave up cos they made me feel so bad. Didn't take anything else for the remaining 18 months I was in Nigeria. Everybody who took it seemed to have some degree of bad experience with it. It was a fiver a tablet in those days, 2003/4. Fozziebear said:

Nope, all that will happen is that if you do catch Malaria you'll be properly ill before you realise, giving the medics less time to react.All anti-malarials are is a low dosage of what they use to treat you if you actually catch malaria... extended use of them as a prophylaxis simply means that they'll have less effect when you actually need them and you'll need to take more of them, with all the downsides that entails.
As a side note, I believe that 28 days is the maximum time recommended to continually take them for (http://www.pharmadoctor.co.uk/antimalarials-questions/taking-malarone-for-more-than-28-days)
So I'd be very very careful before taking them for 4 months straight - they really do not do nice things to your insides!

There's possibly a slight misunderstanding there, anti-malarial medications don't actually stop you from getting Malaria, they just try fighting the symptoms..Here's possibly the most useful page on Malaria, have a read:
