This is causing me a headache, can the PH masterminds help me which of these it correct.

Someone hands in 1 month notice. They have 7 days holiday they wish to use to reduce their leave date.

Their official last day of work is the 29th. Given there are 2 bank holidays in this month, if they use the 7 days leave to bring their last day forward is their last day the 18th April followed by 7 days leave or is it 16th plus bank holidays and 7 days leave.

My brain is in meltdown trying to work out which statement is correct.

I think you are over complicating it,
1. take the months notice and mark the end date on the calender,
2. then move it back by the 7 days holiday they have to take,
3. where any of those 7 days bank holidays? if yes move the date back again by another day.

So it's the 16th. Thanks Engineer. Not had enough coffee this morning and I couldn't work out which one was correct as they both appeared logical to my addled brain.

Time for a trip to Costa!
