I accept that I'm somewhat to blame for this but I would like some advice.

My holiday allowance runs between the normal working years, with no holiday in December. I booked myself a week off for the end of November, as I needed to take the holiday or lose it. I was talking to my manager about what I was doing with my week off, and he asked me if I'd prefer the first week of December instead. Taking the time off then would work out better for me, and also the person covering. I asked my manager about the policy where we aren't supposed to take holiday in December, but he said it wouldn't be a problem as we all cover each other at the place we work.

Last month I didn't receive any holiday pay, so I asked my manager to contact the office to sort it out. He fabricated a story about why I took the time off in December, and was told to wait until my next payday to find out if I will receive the money. What's more annoying is that my manager doesn't appear to care about this and said 'well if you don't get paid, you don't get paid' with a shrug.

Today I still haven't been paid for the holiday. As you can guess I'm pretty peeved about losing a weeks money over this. Is this something that would be worth pursuing? Or do I just have to but this down as an expensive lesson.
