2 wintel breakfix field engineers required

as per title i am looking for 2 breakfix engineers to cover regions north east and a very loose south from reading area,

you will have excellent hardware breakfix skills on servers/laptops/desktops etc down to component level.

if you have cisco knowledge this would be advantageous!

these are perm positions, mileage will be paid, you need your own car/van and be willing to travel to customer sites on a daily basis.

edited to up rate 16k-20k for excellent candidates

Down this way I can't see you getting anyone in for those sort of figures, especially wanting that list of requirements with the possibility of exposure to Cisco as well!

will pay market rates for the right people! wintel breakfix guys aint hard to find, ex eds/a&o/wincor guys are only on 15k as standard! the added cisco knowledge is the bit that will cost me! if you know anyone pm me! i can negotiate for the right people!

please show me who is paying wintel break fix engineers who replace mobos/laptop screens, and also rack and stack switches eg smart hands work and pay their engineers 25k per annum plus mileage!

as i said i will negotiate for the right people! with the right experience!

I work in banking/finance.

Not an IT bod. But I know what Wintel are and Cisco are.

I dont think you will get anyone reasonably competent for such a low wage. In comparison to their field obviously....

I have what you are asking for Cisco etc, but not for that wage.
Even at 25k its far to low, you may get someone but not with 15 years experience like me.

For good people, your offer is way out of line.

Tighten the spec, especially on Cisco, or hire a pro to help you tighten the spec, you'll waste more money in adverts / interviews / opportunity cost otherwise.

We pay our FS guys (1st line) 24k globally so asking for a wintel / Cisco is very disturbing for the money you are offering.

We have sites in the north as well and they are paid the same as they are in Swindon / USA / AP / Europe. There are regional exceptions I will admit but nothing below 24K

I only know of one company in the UK that offers this sort of money and it is a 3rd party company that supports anyone without an IT dept.

Sorry OP not to be rude or anything but do you honestly think you will get what you require for 20K tops?

I am afraid they will break more than they fix and if anything goes wrong you will be sorting it out.

thanks guys, i wasnt expecting anyone with cisco quali's! as it realy isnt needed simply rack n stack! plus the wintel breakfix! ive sorted now with 2 ex wincor/hp guys for 23k each plus vans! ta
