Going from retail to Motor Trade?
Discussion
For the last 6 years (since I was 17) I have been in retail, of the small express supermarket type. For the last 3 years I have been a Team/shift Manager. I'm basically a bit bored and need something new to keep me motivated.
I have little qualifications: 4C and 4D GCSE plus NVQS in Electrical Instalation.
I've been thinking of having a go at the motor trade/ salesman, I think I could actually be quite good at it, I have learned good customer service skills etc from my current job. I'm also very good at "blagging" things, which I think would be useful.
I also have little morals.
So do you thing I would stand a chance of getting through the door? I'm 23 currently.
Any advice would be great.

it really won't be a problem. Look in the local paper or websites for job adverts for car salesman or service advisors and apply. May be go round to your local motor park and ask for the sales manager or service manager and see if they have any jobs going. Dress smart and have answers to the questions of why you want to work in the industry and all will be ok
