Executive IT Recruitment

Does anyone here work in executive IT recruitment? I am talking about Head of IT type roles. Was hoping someone may be kind enough to cast their eye over my CV and give me an honest assessment of my competitiveness in the market.

I am looking to move on from my current role which is Head of Development into a Head of IT type role. I have applied for a few but am getting no response at all. Can't even get the recruiters to phone me back.

Its a strange situation for me. I have gone from being a highly experienced developer with companies and recruiters fighting over me to an in-experienced manager struggling to even get noticed. Not sure if I lack experience, qualifications, both, or my CV doesn't just doesn't butter anyone's parsnips.

I've recruited a variety of these types of roles both as agency and internally but from what you describe you only have experience in development. It seems you may be short on other IT experience and of overall IT budget and strategy.

Someone asked for help with their CV, a recruiter offered to help, for free, so all recruiters are s?

Didn't say all of them, just 99%

My experience backs that up. Some are really good, most are very very poor.

I work on the basis that if you treat everyone like sh*t because you think they are sh*t they will respond in kind. If you are pleasant and polite and they subsequently are a sh*t then you may want to respond in kind too. If you carry an anti-recruiter mentality when you meet them then is it any wonder that they don't warm to you.

I am actually and there's normally a few recruitment "consultants" there. They're in the 1% as you can trust them

Happy to have a cursory glance over to see if there are any recommendations I can make - work primarily in the IT architecture field but have conducted retained searches for head of function/CTO/CIO in the past.
