We are an open source telecommunications services provider, based in Manchester city centre. This is a new role that presents an ideal opportunity for a strong OO PHP developer to join our growing team.
This is a full lifecycle development role and the successful candidate will be involved in the architecture and design of our second generation web-based telecoms management system.
This would be an ideal position for somebody with a couple of years experience in a similar role and an interest in telecommunications technologies.
Salary: £25,000 p.a.
Full time, 38 hours per week, permanent.
Start date: ASAP
Closing date: 2012-09-30

Confident, friendly and professional personality with a proactive and enthusiastic approach to work,
Strong organisation skills especially the ability to multitask and prioritise workload,
Ability to be self-motivated and work under minimal supervision,

It is at the lower end and will attract people who are just starting out or just left University.
We are recruiting for a similar role and have had to add 10k to that salary just to attract a reasonable level of candidates. Even then, the pickings are slim with people being hired within 2 days of the CV going up. Very good PHP staff are somewhat in demand - reminds me of Visual Basic programmers about 8 years ago.
