Apprenticeships and in-work / education on-going education
Discussion
Morning all!
Possible odd one here for you.
Working today with a company that offers all sorts of training, much of it funded by the government for apprenticeships, BTEC, NVQ's etc. The main areas of focus are training in education / child care areas where they offer all the required courses as well as courses covering customer services, Customer services, Business Admin first aid and functional skills (which seems to be the ability to read, write, add stuff up hopefully and a bit of basic IT!).
Most of their courses are either totally funded by government or partially so depending on the employer, employee, location, industry and some other stuff I don't really know yet!
Anyone interested in such things?! If you really lucky it could even be my sister who runs the course and no, this thread aint getting pictures of her (been on PH long enough to know someone would ask!).
I don't personally know a huge amount about this area but seems to me that getting staff and having them trained for free can't be a bad idea (also applies to existing staff). So please let me know if such things are of interest and I'll get them to get in touch. Also, if you know anyone involved in schools, colleges and nurseries in London, Herts, Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambs, Beds etc please let me / them know as apparently the company goes off to open and career days at schools and colleges.
Mods - I don't think this breaks any of the forum rules on advertising but if it does, my apologies in advance and please let me know.
