Clancy Docwra...what are they like to work for?

Evening all!

As above really, have my final interview with them in the next two weeks, so any 'heads up' would be appreciated!

No idea.

Although my granddad knew Mr Clancy, they grew up in the same small town in Ireland, when to school together etc, my Granny even baby sitted his eldest when they were in there 20's.

He saw him years later when he was wealthy man, business doing well etc. My Granddad said Hi, I see your doing well etc, and he completely ignored him, once he had money he didn't want to know his old friends. (this was years ago mind, they have all been dead for years).

So yeah, he was a bit of an arse.

It could be an indicator of the ethos of the man and, by extension, his company. So, yes, I'd say personal experience of Clancy himself is not necessarily irrelevant.

That is true - although I think that over time, you would expect the proprietor's influence would fade once he had departed the scene.

To be honest, whenever I see a Clancy Docwra team at work, I have to say I am never impressed by the general appearance of the crew. It may be a totally irrational opinion, but there is an air of scruffiness about the company that I can't seem to ignore.

I know a number of people that work for Clancy Docwra in a number of locations. Where would you be working? Overall seems like a good company and the staff seem reasonably happy.
As for them being scruffy; I suppose that is a bi-product of digging holes all day long, but they are no worse than any other contractor.
