Online Applications
Discussion
My 17y old should be starting uni next year and i have been nagging him to get a job to build up a fund. He says he is applying online and emailing his CV.
I think he should be out asking to speak to managers and being more pro active.
Is he correct and would my way be off putting for the usual part time student employers

For the main employers, such as retailers like tesco, I really dont think going into the store and asking will get you anywhere. These jobs now are all online applications as it saves them time and costs in finding recruits.
Not sure where your based but up here in sheffield shopping centres like meadowhall will have jobs lists which they up date regularly, I Found it useful when searching for a part time job!
