Evening PH'ers!

I'm after a little bit of help with an application form. Its for a call centre type job. From the job description, I have 6 different criteria that I have to meet. Then, in the application form, I have to explain how I meet the criteria.

One of the criteria is 'Must be able to evidence excellent keyboard skills (at least 30WPM)'. I can do the 30 WPM without a problem, I'm not sure how I can evidence this in an application form. I've done a quick test online and managed 55. Would something like.

'I have many years experience with using computers, as such I have excellent keyboard skills, and have a word per minute count of around 55.'

I don't know if I have a test when I go for the interview or not, going to assume that I don't for now.

Would that be OK do you think? If anyone has any advice on it, I would be very grateful.

Thanks.

What you have wrote there as an answer mate seems pretty much like what I would put. At least you know if they test you on it your going to be somewhere around your quoted figure.

It might be worth going into a bit about your experience, and how you gained the computer skills that you have.

They just want to make sure your able to do the job at a reasonable speed.

Good luck!

The chap in question is usually quite informative / decent so I very much doubt he is specifically 'trolling' for spelling mistakes, it is merely a passing tongue-in-cheek comment I guess.

Thanks smile.

Allowed two extra pages as continuation sheets, so if I have room I'm going to print a screenprint off to back it up, not foolproof I know, but its all I can think of really.

I gained the skills by not having a life when I was younger and spending most my time on the computer...not something I want to put down lol.

I wouldn't bother. Keep it simple.
