What career should you have chosen?

I'm in my 40's now and I now know what I should have been, life took me through banking, accounts and now the NHS.
But with hindsight I know I should have been an Accident Investigator, I'm constantly astounded at how people can crash so often, and often so badly.
So what should you have been?
(those of you young enough to be making your decisions, think hard!)

I freely admit I put about 10% effort into school / further education and the so-so results have never bothered me or held me back in my chosen career.
But just recently Ive started to wish I'd worked hard to become a doctor / surgeon.
I'm not brave enough to say I would have breezed through a medical degree by just making the effort, but I wish I had tried.

I have also thought this and I think I would have tried to be a motoring journalist.I didnt have a clue when I left school shame it only occurred to me not so long ago.Im in my mid forties now working for a small sales team but frankly I dont particularly like selling and im not very good with people in general 
My Mum always wanted me to be a teacher, my Headmaster reckoned I'd make a good paramedic. A "Career Suitability Test" at school suggested such varied vocations as tree surgeon, cartographer and RAF navigator (the bloke who looks at the back of the fighter pilot's head).
Personally, I would have loved to have been a traffic policeman.

Chef. Was pushed into sciencey stuff at school because I was good at it, jacked in Electronic Engineering at university because it bored me to death, discovered an aptitude for dealing with naughty people in the army and in my current role but enjoy cooking stuff immensely.
Too old and too many responsibilities now to retrain in what is a pretty low-paid job.
Doesn't really matter, I love my current job anyway.

king stink. I'm sure these will be generic answers given the website, but I always wanted to be a race driver. Ever since I was about 3.
My parents weren't willing to fund it so I wanted to become an Automotive Engineer (instead of race them, design them!).
