My son has decided that he needs some industry experience and is looking for an Internship from now until August next year. He's specialising in editorial illustration and has put his studies on hold to do this so very motivated. If anyone has a place or needs an intern let me know. I think he's good but I'm his dad and biased smile

We're both aware of the "pay" situation for interns. Frankly it pisses me off. The company I work for employs maybe 20 interns per year and we pay them a good wage for their year.

I'm using my network to try and find him something, but if you know of anything let me know. Thanks!

it's just the creative industry, they know they can milk interns. design less so than fashion

send me a pm with his portfolio and I'll pass it on

I'll need to get him to provide some kind of link for it. His "physical" portfolio was stolen from Uni last term, something which is apparently common frown Not sure what he's put online.

Ok, would need a pdf taster with a range of the things he has done. Then a more indepth physical portfolio which can be in whichever form he likes, the more creative the better.

A friend went for a job as a designer at a bank, he made a complete cheque book and each cheque was an example of this work, cost him hundreds, perforations everything, but got him the job
