I Need A Job Please
Discussion
Anyone in the Gloucester/Cheltenham area got a reasonably well paid job going? Would pefer to work in the motor trade however as my background is office based (boring i know) so i dont have a trade or any mechanical knowledge of any sort.
Been out of work for far too long now & despite applying for almost 100 jobs only had 1 interview & didnt get the job.
Bored now, no money coming in & need to get back to work asap.
Will consider anything within reason although no comedians please!!!
Thank you

dont think i got the body to be a man w
e!! the porn star thing is also not on option either.
i have looked at franchising however the start upcosts can be quite horrific & the few i have seen dont give a very big return income wise on an investment.
no sure what i could do anyway to be honest.

Or more seriously, if you can't find a job you may have to create one. Doesn't sound like you have much to lose by trying being self employed at "whatever the hell you want" right now.
I think that the OP's username might provide a potential reason why this isn't such a great idea

I've occasionally got odd days I could use a hand. It's not particularly interesting, and it's hard, sweaty, dirty graft. Or being a driver's mate, which is very boring, with odd moments of hard, sweaty graft.
There's a lot of smoking, swearing at Jeremy Vine (except in the van with the DAB radio. We swear at Lauren LaVerne in that one). On the very odd occasion, it's a bit of a laugh.
If you fancy the odd day out for meagre money, pm me. I live just outside Cheltenham, vans and big sweaty sheds at J14 of M5.

Well lets start with the easy stuff.no sure what i could do anyway to be honest.
You'll need a product and customers. Right now, the kids are off from school. So we have customers with plenty of spare time. We also have a rugby world cup about to happen?
Buy a bunch of Rugby balls and flog them on E-Bay.
When not doing that, offer to be a pet sitter (go in and feed peoples pets while they are on holiday).
Both things you can drop pretty quickly, if you get a job offer.
There must be agencys who need casual staff for festivals as well.
Just ideas. Could be bad ones. But thought I'd try and be useful after my w
e idea fell flat.(Pimp?)
s2sol - thank you for that. i might take you up on your offer so i will pm you.
with regards to ebay - does anyone actually make any money from selling on it as i dont know of anyone who makes more than odd few quid here & there.
i wouldnt know where to source a large quantity of rugby balls from although as gloucester is a big rugby area thats not a bad idea.
dont like pets & the other half wouldnt be too happy if i offered to be her pimp... then again....
