Could anyone have a quick check of my CV?

You say your fed up with sending off CV's and hearing nothing back from employers.
Do you ever follow it up with a phone call ?
I'll be completely honest and say I very rarely do, so perhaps i'm not putting as much effort in as I could.Do you ever follow it up with a phone call ?
Definitely something i'm going to change.

It's a must
Like I said in another thread, we've had lots of CV's sent to us over the years and I can count one hand the amount of people who actually bother to follow it up with a call. Even if they can't offer a postion, at least it shows you are putting in the effort and will put who ahead of those that can't be bothered.
Who knows, whilst speaking to somebody who can't offer you a position, they may know of people who can.

Oh and thanks for the replies so far guys
Whilst the follow up call idea can be a good one. Most companies cannot be arsed to respond to CVs they get. Is it difficult to fire off an standard-ish email or letter "Thanks for your enquiry, we have nothing at the moment" And it seems that more and more companies say "Speak to our HR" and then when you do they say "It's down to the manager at the site" (or similar) so the buck is passed. I;ve applied for a job that I am absolutely 100% qualifed for. (its IDENTICAL to my last job) But the company in question website still lists it as available. I've had 2 Recruiters offer it to me. Yet no ones getting back to me to arrange an interview. And no ones responding to the follow up calls/mails.
Also I've had 3 interveiws recently. And not 1 of them has responded to my follow up enquires to see if I was in with a shout of the job or the "can you advise me on additional skills I should acquire" type questions. So far as I'm concerned if I've gone to an interview, they OWE me a "no thanks" response. Seems a lot of companies don't
And lets not even go there with Recruitment Agencies that "claim" to send you CV to "a good job we've just got in" Funny how when you chase them they either don't reply. Or they tell you that the company recruiting has found someone else. Or that for some unknown reason your skills don't match, but they never say why.

You could always say in your CV that you will call at a given time to dicuss any questions they may have.
Just sitting and hoping will not do it any more the world is more and more competitive.
This sounds like a good idea so I may need to re-work my CV (again)Just sitting and hoping will not do it any more the world is more and more competitive.
Cheers!
