Season officially over so time for a new thread! Already dreaming about some nice dry Ring laps in high summer next yr...believe trackday dates will be out in about a months time?

Sounds great I have a huge soft spot for R8s...ran a stock V10 plus a while back great cars and the engine is just immense...looking forward to seeing your build lapping the Ring..good luck!

Yes will wait to see the exact dates but I'd say July Ringmeisters will be the one...would love to do all the DN events but non runner at the minute due to young family.

Always thought the CD double was around Easter weekend? I've booked the DN Prime double end of July in any case...prob better when it's in early July but I'm guessing the Ring dictates to the organizer on availability?

Think you have to be on their mailing list to get offered early chance to buy...the dates are Fri May 10th , Thur & Fri July 25th & 26th , Thu & Fri Sep 26th & 27th …go on general sale Jan 1st.

The Prime double in July is £2050, May single is £650 and Sep double £1250…Prime day far less cars but a lot of fast high end machines with pace to match defo not for novices.

Pre Covid these track days would still be available a couple of months beforehand, the Ring has increased in popularity alot in the last few years it seems especially the DN and CD offerings.

I usually use RSR for instruction, lots of knowledgeable and personable guys there. Getting a half day in early on day 1 is the best bet, leaves you with plenty of time to work on what you've been told.

Yes early to mid July much better but on the plus side it coincides with the F1 at Spa this year so I’m taking in the GP on the way back on Sunday.

Good day at DN yday? Looks like TF rammed this weekend .

My first visit was 10 yrs ago hired a R26R Megane from RSR, did a v quiet Trackday which was great and not so intimidating given my lack of experience. Tbh I wouldn’t fancy starting from scratch there now given the state of TF and then the pace of the really fast cars on DN Trackdays (albeit with less traffic). I actually did a couple of TF laps last yr for first time just to tick the box it was ok not too busy so had a nice cruise around. Over again at end of July for Ringmeisters and will be there the Sat too but will prob give TF a miss if it’s v busy.

Ultimately his antics on TF and his profile on Youtube have lead to alot more idiots following suit and going 'full send' on TF laps...hopefully he'll have a rethink as that accident was pretty bad and very fortunate not to have been seriously hurt.

I saw that the new electronic warning system with LED panels is up and running now (not sure if it’s fully operational)… should be a good step in the right direction to improve TF safety.

Only a week to Ringmeisters who else is going? Weather looking OK right now but of course things can change quick in the Eifel!

Was on an Oulton Park drift day Tuesday, when it goes, it goes, but it's surprising well balanced when you get used to it.
