Spa to The Ring - Questions
Discussion
I have booked a track day at Spa in September (SVA permiting) and was wondering whether to travel to the Ring afterwards. My intention this time would be just to have a look and maybe take the 'taxi'.
So my questions are:
How far from Spa to the Ring?
Any recommendations regarding the route?
Places to stay?

Unless you get a cancellation, I don't think your chances of getting a taxi will be very high.
The road to hell near Eupen! lol, I have to go 50 mph there else I WILL rip my exhaust off!
I will be there is September (cant remember the date) if you find me, I will be happy to take you around.

There are plenty of vids on the sites to watch, that will give you an idea as to where you are going when you get there
Have fun, and if Im there I will give you a lap.
One quick thought, check the opening times, it isnt always open and september is looking a bit crap this year for quality time

By all means get a couple passenger laps from PH types. There are plenty about most any day. The advantage is that you get a peek at the track for free, before heading out on your own. Otherwise, you end up wasting a few lap tickets as you feel your way around. Look me up if you are there early...
The best way to get into the 'ring taxi is to strike a deal with one of the waiting punters who has no companions. A buddy of mine slipped a young fellow about €80 last year to get two passengers into the back seat. The kid was thrilled because his grandparents had bought him the lap for a birthday present and he made a neat profit on it!
