anyone going to the "loud" day tomorrow with BaT? Come to think of it, was anyone at Goodwood last Saturday when the rather lovely dark blue Koenigsegg (or however the hell you spell it) was doing its thing? There was some fabulous Italian machinery there (Murcielago, Dino, 328 etc) and nobody noticed. Thats Scandinavian one upmanship for you!

I'll be there tomorrow - Porsche 993RS.

I was there last Saturday. Useless organisation, way too much queueing, bizarre overtaking rules ("overtake whichever side you like" - yes honestly) and standards of driving left a lot to be desired.

Tomorrow should be good though, and weather looks nice. Goodwood is no fun in the wet (whereas Bedford is way more fun when it is raining!)

Are you saying that a Book a track day wasnt that good?

I find that very hard to believe, Jonny is a very good organiser, and all his days go very smoothly and professionally.

Melv is wrong. BaT's day at Goodwood was Sat 17th April and was a great day with no damage and only 1 very quick recovery for a snapped clutch cable.

20 cars in total meant everyone was guaranteed 15 mins out of each hour - as i'm sure Zubin will confirm when he reads this.

Not sure who the organiser was on the previous Saturday - the Goodwood listing shows Mithril - but i'd be very suprised if this were actually the case based on the comments made here.

I agree with you Jonny, a completely different story on Saturday to the previous Saturday. The previous Saturday was, I think, an Easytrack/Track fun day, although there were no staff present from Easytrack.

In their defence, there is a big organisational difference between 5 cars on track (quiet day) and 10 cars (loud). However, I too thought the overtaking rules were a tad bizarre. The marshalls were definitely having an off day that day because they were 100% more friendly and slicker for Jonny than they were the previous weekend.

Incidentally, my thanks to you and the marshalls for rescuing my clutchless car. The sad news is, it wasn't just the clutch cable - so out comes the engine again!
