Always a pleasure these days that when I go to a track day I get to bump into PHers. Today was Martvr and Mel and a Graham (not sure of PH name).

Such social types us PHers

How did you guys find the track surface - I'm still having nightmares about the wet session last weekend, but IIRC, it was very sticky in the dry?

I hope it's sticky! I've got some nice new Dunlop SP Super Sport Race tyres to try out at Donno on the 22 April. Is the surface really level too. Just wondering if I can get away with stiffening up the dampers a little.

Hows the Ginetta going Richard? When we met you were struggling with the brakes.

It dried in the afternoon. I had no trouble with the surface at all. I was in an unfamiliar car though so it wasn't until late in the day that I was starting to push the envelope a bit more.

I think that it's going great . Unfortunately, everybody elses appears to be going even better .

Aiming for top half this weekend at Silverstone, so we'll see how it goes!

I was that Graham - good to meet you at Donnington on Saturday, had a fantastic day and would recommend the Top Cats experience to anyone, I had never so much as set foot on a track before the day but they were very patient and I learned a great deal, I am still trying to get the grin from my face.

Oops, sorry, missed the thread until now. I had a great time and as Ted says it's good to see friendly faces and have a chat.

I found the new surface was good in the dry and also predictable. I was able to push on once it dried and had to be flagged off at the end of the day and told to go home . While it was drying I reckon it went through a slightly slippier stage but I don't think that is necessarily unusual. Good day and good standards of driving displayed.

Yes, all the above -- I wasn't driving but a mate of mine racing a Ginetta reckoned the surface was good. He's happy because he managed to finish the day with the car intact -- he's been unlucky enough to have someone drive into him the last three or four races.

Good to see you too, Ted...
