Ted, thinking about trackdays already (actually I've already done two this year) and was thinking back to my 3 trips to Folembrey.

So are there any plans for a Euro trackday this year (my preference would be Spa)

Sorry, missed this.

Folembray is off this year. The owners wouldn't give us a date until November and the nonsense going on with liability insurance also put the stoppers on using Folembray.

We've been offered an allocation for Bookatrack's trip to Spa in August though. I'm just waiting for them to set up the booking option for us.

Whats the latest with the insurance, can anyone comment?

AFAIK when current insurances expire, there's only the ATDO/MSA scheme - and that won't cover non-ATDO members or non-MSA tracks (like airfields, or stuff overseas).

Palmersports have something up their sleeves too I imagine?

My understanding on the insurance is that it requires MSA/Track approval for someone to run a track day in future. However a disgruntled organiser told me the other day that the MSA are allowing track owners to sanction organisers themselves which could undermines the whole system. Not sure how accurate a reflection on developments that is.
