Was anyone from here there? My second ever trackday and what a top time I had.... until my brakes went. Time for a substantial refit methinks...

The brakes are fine - you're just using them too much

Elvington's for going sideways though - use the rubber to slow down instead!

Joo,

That was a cunning strategy I thought I'd try to make sure the car wasn't under weight at the end of a race!

By the way have you got all of that mud out of the engine bay yet?????????????

CJ

P.S. Better fix those front brake ducts while you're at it so you don't cost me a fortune in front discs. LOL!!!!

Well I was the slow muppet in the old 325 beemer

as for going sideways, yep, I tried that, but ended up pirouetting like a ballet dancer. Must add 'need some better tyres' to my list of excuses.

By the way, did the old Griff (no.30) get going at all? I retired at lunch due to the aforementioned complete lack of brakes, but would have loved to have seen that old chariot roaring round... made a great noise!

For going sideways and most other airfield 'activities' I would recommend the cheapest pieces of shit you can get your hands on - preferably on a 2nd set of cheap alloys.

You can easily wear out a set of tyres on an airfield day and you don't want to be spending £600 a time to replace 4 top quality tyres - get some for £50/corner and you will have much more fun as you won't need to worry about ruining them.
