Which is the most 'windy' track down south then? I'm thinking of somewhere an elise might feel at home.

Also, if any of you have any good links to track guides etc. Thanks.

For a moment I thought you were asking for a track that had a lot of wind!

I assume you mean a twisty, technical, or tight track?

How far south do you mean?

The only southerly track I know are Thruxton (very fast but not twisty), Goodwood (very fast but not twisty), Brands Hatch (fast and a little twisty), Lydden (small circuit with two or three good corners), Castle Combe (fast but only two chicanes).

If you want twisty then you are going to have to go a bit further afield to Cadwell, Anglesey, Oulton, Llandow, Snetterton, Croft, or Hethel!

Lydden is an excellent circuit except the run-off area is a bit limited, Brands is good but expensive.
If you want twisty, go to :
1)The old nurburg ring.
2)Croix en-ternois
3)Three sisters
which all have the same problem as lydden.

Silverstone isnt too fair and has more tight corners than Thruxton or Goodwood.

(its dearer too though)

Hethel has got to be top of the list for a Lotus? Alternatively some of the really small circuits like Curborough are made up almost entirely of corners!

Kemble has lots of twistys depending on who's running there.

Hethel is excellent between the two huge boring straights, but trackdays there seem to have been stopped for now. Brands Hatch is quite fun but just feels a bit big for most road cars.

Can't recommend Anglesey enough though, even as someone living in the SE. More travelling but what you spend on extra fuel and accomodation you save in trackday fees - make a weekend of it (either two days on track or one day and some road driving) and it's really worthwhile. Plus much lower numbers - most are 30 drivers only and open pitlane so you get a lot more track time for your money.

If you want a windy circuit then Anglesey is a great one, the wind comes straight off the sea?

Its also quite twisty too!!

Three sisters....ehh no, not unless its on a bike, there are over 20 corners in under a mile, it used to knacker me out spending 20 mins on a bike there, a car you would be dead on your feet at the end of it.

They actually run an F1 car there, it must be mad.
