I'm taking my Nissan 200sx down there, and a mate is taking his evo 6. I've heard it's a real good track, and quite testing - not to mention nice and cheap (if you dont count the cost of petrol to get there).

I can't wait

Me too, but hiring BaT's Caterham Superlight,

Graham,

must remember to ask you about your big brake conversion, going for terox discs and mintex pads. Can't decide on braided hoses and the big caliper and disc conversion - only very limited track use so not sure whether it would be money well spend - any advice?

Cheers

Simon

Hopefully i should have the 304mm disks and ap 5040 4 pot calipers on by then.. so i should have some feedback.

the calipers im using are race calipers so dont have the extra dust seals but their are road versions...

The first thing i always change on brakes is to put braided hoses on, all my cars have them it makes a big difference...

I should be easy to spot the car is bright violet

edited to say , i see you have a chimaera so you mean the brakes on that.. i did it in conjunction with dampers and it made a huge difference to the car putting better brakes on the front... money well spent..

Im not too keen on EBC pads though ( greens) a little unpredicatable from cold...

got back late last night after about 240 laps pounding the taz, for once the car ran faultlessly and apparently the driving was ok too

Another very well run book-a-track day... everyone went home with their cars as they arrived and only 2 red flags over the whole weekend ( one blown engine in a bike powered caterfield thingy he just disappeared in a cloud of white smoke in front of me...)

The driving standard appeared very high to me and with a big mix of abilities, which can be a problem with open pit lane but not this time.

I do find open pit lane so much more relaxing than a sessioned day.... no feeling that you have to go out as soon as the session starts and stay till it finishes... just go out when you feel like it and pop in when you need a rest..

cheers
