All,

I recently had the silencing removed on the Chim. I also bought some slip on silencers to try and get me back down to sub 100dB. Does anyone know somewhere that I can get the car noise tested in the south-east, preferably North West Kent? I want to know what I'm running without silencers and then what I'm running with...

Thanks,

Rob

I went along to Brands Hatch when there was a trackday (either Easytrack or Book a track, can't remember which) and got my car noise tested for free. Just turned up and they were more than happy to help!

Thanks guys. I'll get myself down to Brands at some point. My grandma lives that way as well so I'll be a good boy and see her too.

Got a griff with sports box ( fernhurst conversion, think no silencing), want to go track day, not been before, don't want to spend money on slip on mufflers for what may be a one off event.

Anyone got these to fit a griff 500 who wouldn't mind sharing if got a track day coming up or lending if in local area ( SE London/Kent)?

Cheers

I think you can buy digital noise meters on the net for about £20-£30, might be worth a try..

Coombe and Goodwood will also help you if you are nearer them.

Graham, they were only £45 plus VAT from Austec (originally ACT I think). And trust me, once you get out on track once will not be enough...

This doesnt answer your question but...

On Steve Heaths website in the FAQ bit he has a section on silencing.
For a link to the site look at the profile of shpub.
