Am looking to buy a cage at the moment, but am somewhat confused by the options available.

there are 6 point bolt ins, 6 point weld ins, 10 point weld ins, door bars, harness bars etc etc etc.

Can someone who knows their stuff please explain what why, where and how much?

Oh, I need it for a 325 Bimmer for track use....

ta v much.

Try contacting Martin Short at www.rollcentre.co.uk.

What he doesn't know about rollcages isn't worth knowing.

tried 'em Jeremy, all I got was a 'sorry, but we cant help you with that car...' fair enough.

It seems you can get a decent make for £300 ish, up to £younameit.

Have a look here - should explain everything you need to know!

Safety Devices should do a cage for your car, and I've found them to be very good when they designed and built a cage for my Westfield.

Try Caged - I've no connection but I know of a guy with a Westfield who had one custom made by them. Pics of his cage and a bit of commentary here.

Other than the established makers already posted I'm not sure if this will help or where you are in the country. However if you are south then I know that Paul at Austec hand makes the roll cages for the SD1 rovers he's preparing at the moment, the tenuous link being they are both saloons .
If you are localish give him a ring to see if he can help.

Demon Tweeks also has several pages of cages (!) and the BMW 3 series is mentioned several times.
