RMA trackday 31st Jan
Discussion
My elise is quite good fun on the track - looks standard from the outside. I suspect it's like a slightly underpowered version of your brother's Noble...!
I'll be there with a couple of friends, one in a GT3 RS and the other a pug 205 GTI. I'll keep an eye out for you.
AnrdewD, not sure what the noise level is - my Elise with a sports exhaust just scrapes through. They do a static test at 4000 rpm and have a drive by mic on one of the straights. It's certainly not as harsh as Goodwood if that helps!

Arrived at the circuit on the off chance of getting on, it has been fully booked for weeks.
A few no shows made it possible, so paid up and did 175 miles before close of play, with my son in the passenger seat. The track had to be shortened due to some re-shaping works at one of the corners, so it got crowded at times.
Weather atrocious, horizontal rain & wind -- lots of spinners Honda S2000 and Sierra drivers seem worst affected. Many Elises, Nobles and Porsches doing their stuff. One of the fastest there was -- wait for it -- a Mk1 Golf, it went like a rocket.
My Porsche 968 on Bridgestone SO2's seemed to cope well, some steady 4 wheel drifts on the limit when cornering and surprisingly good under heavy braking.
Am booked on the 28th Feb at the same venue, hope it is drier that day as I have some P zero 'C' s to try out.

It certainly was fun. I took my M5 estate as well as the Elise. The rain definately played well for the M5, very entertaining and surprisingly swift. Not sure it would fare so well in the dry though.
Talking to Graham, Palmer has apparently offered a free day sometime later in the year to make up for the shortened circuit. Date to be announced soon.
Shame I didn't catch up with any of you guys but it was a bit hard to spot people in the rather crowded hut. Hopefully the Feb weekend will be a bit easier...
