Track car hire info required
Discussion
I'm interested in trackday car hire. Im particularly interested in hire when arranged by the trackday organiser and also someone unconnected with the trackday organiser.
Has anyone any comments about hiring something like a Radical or a fast BEC in particular but others may be of interest?
Questions include:
1 Who from, which circuit, what cost?
2 Was instruction included or available?
3 Any age limits, eg could I get a day for my 19year old?
4 Insurance, was it provided in the hire cost or as a compulsory extra?
5 Delivery to circuit. Was that an additional cost?
6 Could the drive be shared between a number of drivers
7 Was the trackday cost charged separately?
8 Anything else you can add?

after a few telephone calls you will be the wiser. please post here how you get on.
However, I think I have a better idea. I also have a teenage son keen to prove that he is better than his old man. The absolute best idea is a day at Jonathan Palmers driving Sensation www.palmersport.co.uk I have done it myself and am thinking of going with my son.
At least 6 top circuit cars to drive plus karting & an off road test as well, a good breakfast and lunch included. All the hassle is sorted for you, you get enthusiastic instructors thrown in as well.
They are prepared to listen about teenagers -- try them.
Oh yes, it will not be cheap (around £600 each, depending when you go!!) but because of the intensity length of the day and vehicles at your disposal it is in my the best value for money you can get. (I have no commercial interest!!!)
bye
