Was at Spa this week and have now had chance to analyse some video and it looks like I was putting in lap times in the range of 2:57 to 3:05.
Anyone know how this compares with other road cars (can't find anything on Google)?
GT3's manage low 2:50's if I recall properly around 2:50- 2:54Anyone know how this compares with other road cars (can't find anything on Google)?

i drive a CSL and first visit to Spa last year in the dry the best i managed was a 2m 56+, and my second visit was this year and stole a 2m 54 dead.Anyone know how this compares with other road cars (can't find anything on Google)?
If you were driving the R8 in your profile a 2m 57 first visit is ok but i would think you should be aiming for 2m 50 or lower when you get on the money!

Still need to build up my speed through Eau Rouge as I was doing quite a long lift and that then has a big impact down the straight.
Think I could also get on the power earlier through Stavelot and therefore carry more speed through Blanchimont and up to the Bus Stop.
2.41.9 500 bhp Ultima on Hoosier slicks. Best of the 5 laps that I did. Car owner did 2.50.2
www.tracknite.com is a great bit of software for video review.

FWIW I was lapping in the 3 min to 3.05 mark in my road going GTD40 (Gulf colours with #9 on the car). It was also my first visit to Spa and I thought it was fantastic there. Here is a link to a video selection from my car.

The quality of driving by all participants I thought was very high compared to some UK track days helped by great marshalling with blue flags.

Obviously a lot depends on the type of car, lots of responses here with many different cars. Spa rewards a car with a lot of power, but that notwithstanding, my little 250bhp Juno was doing 2.32's on endurance tyres and brakes for the recent 3 hour race. Should probably have been 2.27's if we'd had different gearing and didn't get quite as much understeer. Easy flat in Eau Rouge and Blanchimont - unfortunately we then hit 140mph on Kemmel and just sat there!
My brother and I just drove Spa yesterday for the first time. We managed a consistant 3.06- 3.08 in a Lotus Exige 220.
Definitely could have gone faster but braked a lot for Rouge (down to 85mph) which then slowed us for Kemmel a fair bit.
Surprising thing for me was how hilly the track was.
