Discussion
After the report in May,I'm here 2 say - YES! Did it again!Silverstone this time, loved it and can't recommend it enough to anyone.Jane(my girl)got me my 1st go,at Bedford Autodrome as a present, came and watched(thinking she'd be bored)loved it,got hooked, and drove at Silverstone 2.She's been beaming like the proverbial ever since, and would like 2say 2 any ladies out there -- DO IT!!!! The team made her feel v.v.comfortable,once the initial nerves had passed, she was on it!!BIG,BIG thanx to Warren,Charlotte and Brian for the car and Special thanx 2 Phil Brough, instructor 4 the day, who was wonderful. Saving 4 the next time now!!
Hi Callum, I too really enjoyed the day at siverstone , the rain made it even more of an experience. Topcatz do put on a good show by not being over the top on glitz (as the porsche lot in the next garage appeared to be.) But the car ran all day with out a murmer and they answer all your questions frankly. (Yes Richard , you did ask a lot of questions.)

Echo what has been said above though - they are a great bunch of guys, and even though the day is more expensive than the various experience days out there, it kills on value for money.

As for the rain making things more interesting - well, I won't argue with that, but I deffinitely wouldn't recommend spinning a Tuscan on the way out of Woodcote - even if you do end up pointing the right way afterwards

As a confirmed Tuscaholic I have to say I think you are looking at this from the wrong point of view if you consider it in terms of track time and cost! Once you've tried it you'll understand, its something that every true petrolhead simply *must* do at least once. But I have to warn you, it's addictive!
Costs and track time are important - you wouldn't spend £1000 for five minutes no matter how good the car (well I wouldn't anyway).
The days are organised at UK track days at Silverstone , Bedford and now Donnington too. If the day isn't open pit lane, Topcats will buy into all of the sessions. The day is split between four drivers, so that is a quarter of a day each.
Costs are around £550 plus VAT, so not cheap, but as Peter has said above, there is a deffinite influence of the Heart in the decision making process!
The general concensus of people that have done the day is well worth it
