Dave,

The Reims circuit was barracaded off last year when friends of mine went. They only got access to the pits and straight by moving the barriers to get down there. It is due to be flattened. The road is in fact now closed.

You may want to check this out. I hope it hasn't been done yet as I want to go having seen frends photo's from a couple of years ago outside the stands and pitwall. The straight allows you to stretch the legs of your car somewhat. I know of one Cerberra owner who clocked 165 down there !!!

Cheers

Mark

I eard the same story only a few days ago.

2 years ago they wanted to hold historic races there, now they close the roads to all, I have no idea what is actually happening there, will know more within the next few hours

I heard last night that the road is open again but the Grandstands and Pit's have now been flattened completely.

If this is right (reliable source) then I'm gutted.

Are there noise restrictions on the Folembray circuit ??

There are no noise restrictions for Folembray, they/we do not test for noise. The track reserves the right to stop anyone on a noise basis, but it has never happened in my experience of 15 plus visits.

For track day insurance talk to www.competition-car-insurance.co.uk

They can probably also give you advice about recovery etc.

The last time someone broke down on the tour (poor Healey ) We put it on one of the race-car trailers and someone drove the race car on the road

Yes! Go on, it's a superb track for the Elise (have a look at www.jimbocam.com if you need some convicing)

Well yes...I feel extremely embarassed not to take part on the circuit but:

1) It's the first I will attend a motoring outing on my own and given that I'm not a very good driver, I'd like to avoid the shame of inducing any traffic jams on the circuit

2) My car is currently suffering from front suspension malfunction and I'd like to avoid make it worse as I won't have time to take big care of it before the summer.

Anyway, feeling extremely impatient to see you in the flesh!

Yes guys, no more dithering. I will probably close the books tonight.

So if you don't hurry up you won't get any from being with us, but there again you won't get any from too much either.
