That looks like basically the same set up that I have in the V8S. The lipstick camera, stereo mics and LANC controller cost me about £150 and I use an ordinary DV camera which cost me £500. That leaves about a grand for the case? Hmmm!

Check out the following links. As has been said below, someone's making a lot of money from a case!

Surely you pay for the quality of the camera?

I wonder how long an off the shelf DV camcorder will give up the ghost after the harsh vibrations etc that goes with strapping it to your car?

No, the DV cam sits in a nice protective case - as you say, they don't last long strapped to a race car. The bullet cam (I bought mine from RF Concepts too) is mounted externally.

Having said that, if you have a road car I would mount the DV cam internally using a clamp of suction mount (e.g. B-Hague).

The problem with the Sony bullet cam mounted on my Radical is that the vibration ruins the picture. Best solution so far is to mount on the top of my helmet

I use the hi-res RF concepts Sony bullet-cam (£150) attached to a refurbed sony DV camera (£250) that locks away in either my armrest or my glovebox.

Being a road car the bullet cam doesn't seem to pick up any vibration either.
