On Saturday 13th September 2003 the West & North Yorkshire TVR CC have secured the full 4 miles + of runway at Elvington Airfield near York, and will be holding there second annual track day.

The event is to raise money for the ‘Hearing Dogs for the Deaf’ charity.

Loads of track time is guaranteed.
The track will be a 4 mile oval with two 2 mile straights, enough runway to max out your TVR in safety, and go home with your licence intact. 180 mph + is achievable.

And there is no noise limit for those of you with sports exhausts

Entry fee for the track day is £80.00, (none TVR CC members see below).

Any one who is interested, drop me an email at

garry.foster@btconnect.com

and I'll email a booking form.

And whats the nearest distance to anything you can hit
Being an airfield I would guess it's similar to Bruntingthorpe

The strip is a wide and good track the last time i went i got a lift around in a 450bhp skyline v spec he got 159mph on the straight came to the first corner at the end of the strip in the pouring rain puddles all over 110mph around the corner ive never seen anything grip like it, until it lost traction 5 seconds later we spun and spun in circles bigtime i have never nipped my ar-e as much in all my life. But if you do loose it round a corner there is plenty of time to correct it or stop before you hit any trees. P.S. how much is it to spectate as im passing that afternoon as york raceway (dragracing) is on sunday 14th and camping from 6pm on the saturday 13th. It is £9.50 to get in and £15 to race up the strip as manny runs as you can fit in.
