Due to popular demand (this sells out in about 4 minutes normally) Lee Noble and Autocar have got together to organise another day on 30 July. No sales patter - I've already posted full details of what happens on these days. If you're up for it, get yourself to www.palmersport.com/autocar

The GTO3R recently beat the 10 awesome motors only to lose (very narrowly) to the 996 Turbo in our point to point test. The "also rans" were; Tuscan S, VX220 Turbo, R300, M3, Murcielago, Clio 172, Focus RS and EVO Xtreme.

Hurry, hurry boys. These places are hot...

Stuart,

What is the policy on passengers on the Autocar days? If I pay the £25 for another person, does that allow them to passenger with me?

Anthony.

Believe so, yes. Best to call 01403 733999 and speak to Jan though to be on the safe side.

Thanks for the tip. Funnily enough, I've been talking to the good people at pistonheads about this very thing today.

Believe it or not though, these track days don't make a profit for Autocar. We see them as product sampling excercises - a chance to meet and greet readers. Consequently the pounds are in rather short supply...

But at 165 quid for 2 hours track time, that's pretty darn steep doncha think!!

3 hours track time.

Possibly, yes, but then Palmersport itself doesn't come cheap.... Add up the cost of instructors, food, barbecue afterwards, and all of a sudden it's not a bad deal, 'specially when you get the chance to have a crack in a GTO3R. Awesome car.

Here I am advertising again. Sorry.

Is that the real stig? Perry McCarthy stig?

Of course, checking your profile might've answered that one for me. Nice plate on your Ultima...

So, any other PH'ers going to this? I booked last week - good job as the places disappeared quick smart! Looking forward to trying the revised Noble - just hope the suspension doesn't fall off!

Hi Anthony, be sure to say hello then... I think I was the only TVR at last years Noble day so it must be me! I'll be in the TVR if it hasn't sold by then, otherwise it'll be the wife's Cooper S or (hopefully) the NSX I want to buy. Either way - give me a shout, I expect a fast lap in the Noble! C U there...
