Bedford GT Circuit

A Saturday track day on the big circuit for just £195? Surely some mistake?

um, same day as I get back from holiday and same day as TVRCC at Oulton...bugger! Anyway, Oulton for £125 vs Bedford for £195 = not a very tough decision to make is it ;-)

Hmm... open pit lane all day long vs sessions spent waiting for silly buggers to get cleared from track at circuit notorious for holdups - I don't think the cost per minute on track argument will hold up! Both are great. Both are different. You pays yer money... but in my opinion Bedford is a much more interesting and tecnical track even if it isn't as 'famous'.

I agree that the £'s per minute may be better at Bedford but having driven both circuits numerous times I would go for Oulton every day of the week (particuarly on a Saturday!!). Although some of Bedford is challenging I don't rate it above Oulton by any stretch of the imagination and it is flat and featureless! Oulton may have more hold-ups but worth it I think.
As you say (in different words) - each to their own !

Do I read "notorious for holdups" as "I'll be going off into the kitty litter if I'm not very careful" !?

"Notorious for holdups" as in " off into the armco!"

Bruce,

You got the Arial fixed after Folembray then.

Don't forget there was a fair few offs at Folembray that day, including one immediately after the Subaru was cleared away

cheers,
Mike.

And that's a first, Bedford being described as more interesting and technical than Oulton!

Bedford can flatter to deceive. Last track day I ran at Palmersport we saw 5 offs in the same place, literally one after the other. Same old story - turn off all the assistance, outbrake yourself, try to get out of trouble. Fail. Spend two hours picking kitty litter out of brake calipers.
