Interested in driving a Tuscan racer? Then read on.

Last year I went on the Topcats Tuscan Racecar experience. Think race track, 450 BHP/ton on slick tyres, an experienced driver beside you encouraging you to give it some welly, intercom and dual controls of course. The car is outrageously fast, far beyond what most of us will ever have experienced, and I think every petrolhead should drive a car like this at least once. For some of us once is not enough, which is why I'm keen to do it again this year.

The bad news is I've left it too late and all the dates this year are fully booked. But I'm trying to pursuade Topcats to add a new date to their calendar so I can have a go. The date we're aiming for is Wednesday 16th July at Donington. There are still two unsold places, meaning Topcats would be running the day at a loss, or nightmare scenario is they decide not to run it. Please please don't let this happen! Call Topcats now and tell them you want to have a go. It's not cheap, but remember life is not a dress rehearsal!

You can find contact details for Topcats at their web site at www.topcatsracing.com, or drop me a line through my profile.

Thanks,
Peter Humphries (and a green V8S)

I'm certainly up for another go Peter, but I can't make it on the 16th July (pretty much the only week in July that is out for me ).

If it can be re-arranged you can probably count me in, and young Mr. Luca Brazzi has been making noises about having a go as well....

Peter,

is that the same day as the EvoActive event at Donnington? Assuming (rather big assumption based on how long this is all taking!) I have my car back by then I will hopefully be attending and therefore may be able to pay for at least one or two goes with the Tuscan if that is acceptable to Charlotte and co.

Peter,

I've been talking to Charlotte specifically about Donnington (gre up 2 miles away and love the circuit) and she mentioned you were down for the drive. I'm just waiting to confirm my redundancy cheque and then I'll be in touch with her again.
