A few of us are aiming to do a Donington day in October Shim. Will let you know the details when they're finalised.

If you're close to Donny (and I realise this is a bit late now) it's always worth turning up on the day on the off chance someone breaks down / falls off. There's nearly always less drivers in the afternoon than there is in the morning.

yeh was gong to (even though 75 mins away) but ended up trashed at the Ivy last night after blgging my way in on the spur of the moment and in no fit state to drive really.

Decided to work (sort of) after all.

Never mind, next time.

Well Shim, you were lucky you did not come... It was the WORST track day I have ever been too, so badly organized and run it was unbelievable. Over booked obviously and a Open pit lane, which you had to cue 30 min in to get out on track (hardy open pit lane), so then they decided to split into 3 sessions, but first come first serve, so still had to que for 30 min to reserve your slot!!

Must have been 80-90 cars there and only 30 were allowed out on track at once!

I have been too over 300 track days with customers and this was by far the worst ever.furious

Have to agree 110% with you there Sean, unbelievable, very frustrating day. I picked my place up on here half-price but had I paid full price I would certainly have not been happy.

Yep it was shit, will be making sure circuit days get some grief,I think everyone is due a voucher of some sort,i.e a free track evening/halfprice full day since everyone only got prob a third of what they otherwise would have. Dont forget this wasnt a cheap winter day,it was £200 oddd on a weekday!
PLus when some muppet went off in the sessioned part if it was red flagged those on track even if they had only done 1 lap had to go to the back of the queue..............Vote with your feet(or tyres)people.

well sorry to hear you guys had such a poor time out there.

glad now that i got trashed thursday and didnt risk the trip without a place!

Why do you reckon, was it just becasue too many cars booked on (80/30) or the fact that some of the guys were doing long sessions and not coming it (heard alot of the lotus guys were out to practice Friday)

I know Donners does a few OPL duing the year but they mostly seem to be sessioned. I will have to make sure i check out the numbers in the future!

I've only done one circuitdays trackday and I was so disappointed with the organisation (and the blatant lies they told us before hand) I swore I'd never use them again. Shame for you guys they haven't changed.

Oops, sorry Shim i should've posted that the spare place had been sold. Sounds like you made the most of the time anyway. Was a bit on the busy side and some fast cars there to, lot of Elise race series cars practising for the weekend. Still managed to rack up 170 track miles tho but well over sold day. Thanks for the lesson Maxx, good tips passed on.

i suspect that many of the cars were racking up the miles hence difficult for those in the pits to get out.
