I'm taking the Insight out on a track day tommorrow at Castle Combe.

What the guesses on lap times (avoiding the obvious "I'll get my calender to time it" jokes)

I know the guy who races that, it's a CVT Hybrid too, not even a manual.

He still won the 1000cc championship whit it.

To have fun, I'd wager to guess.

The point was that when the circuit was very wet, the Insight was faster than the Caterhams, Westie's, Elises as the power is not a factor & driver ability is.

If I could be guarenteed wet conditions at the Pegasus sprint at Combe I'd enter it.

I just didn't think that Insight's were designed with driver fun in mind that's all. Why can't you take your Metro track car? I used to have a a mere 1.5 diesel one but it was still great fun on the twisty narrow Shropshire lanes, I imagine a properly sorted one could be a bit of a giant killer.

Surely driving a Hybrid on a racetrack will cause global warming and everyone will die?
