HI

this lot are going

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

you'll have great fun, my first track day was a novice evening at Brands, the guys there are great its very well organised. they take you round the track in a minibus first so you can see the track and they tell you how to take the lines, there are also cones and markings to help.

there is a tea bar/cafe type place in the pits too, so if you have anyone going with you they will be looked after.

enjoy and let us know how you get on, I always love listening to peoples experiences of trackdays smile

bounce yeah me too smile

frown but I'm not even going, I'm getting excited for you lot though smile

my first trackday I was so nervous, I put my husbands name down as main driver so if I bottled out it wouldnt look so bad hehe it wasn't until I'd done my first lap round, then that was it nerves were gone and excitement and adrenaline took over, a complete addict now smile

I've never done it before. Should be good, Im a bit nervous, but Im not sure what of. I dont think i'll crash, and even if i spin off, I dont think it'll do any damage.. i think its more antisipation of actually driving on a race track..
cant wait though.

The whole team at Brands is excellent. If you haven't done so already, I suggest you book a slot with an instructor on board, as early in the day as possible. You'll learn so much and be able to take the corners/bends faster and more safely.
It's really addictive. I have to keep giving myself good reasons why it's not convenient to go again (M25 traffic, losing a day's pay, cost of petrol used ..) but it's hard to resist going one more time.
On that topic, I only use Tesco 99RON petrol so I fill up before I leave home. I think the nearest garage does sell 97RON stuff, though, now.
Enjoy.
