Tyre sizes - Slicks relative to road tyres
Discussion
How do tyre sizes work on slicks?
They don't seem to have the same information relating to them that road tyres have. As such, how do I know the profile of the tyre? Is there a conversion table I can refer to?
Specifically; what profile are these:

I would guess 235 is the nominal width in mm, 610 is the nominal diameter in mm, 17" is the nominal rim diameter. But don't take my word for it, why not ask the vendor?
If you're buying slicks you should be aware that tyre widths are usually quoted as the contact patch width whereas road tyres are usually measured at the shoulder. The difference is typically about an inch. If I were you I'd also want to check that the rim profile is the same (will those tyres go on J section rims OK?) and make sure you know about the differences in strength / durability and have considered the effects these tyres will have on the car's handling, suspension settings and suspension/drive train loads.
