I know there are some very knowlegable contributors on this thread.

I want to take the ARDS test which after tuition and 10 trackdays I feel will not be a problem but don`t want to do a full day course at Silverstone for £350.
Any help welcomed . thanks

You need only do the on track assesment and written test to complete your ARDS licence at Silverstone, there is no need to do a whole day at of learning before hand, where did you see that? Ben knows all this already and he can do the assesment I think, so get him to take you and it's an automatic pass :P

MSV do it for about £250 or £280, albeit not at Silverstone but at one of their circuits.

Call Thruxton and see what they charge. You can just take the test there if you are confident.

Keith,

As you "Midlands" you could also try Mallory, easy track to learn if you haven't done it before. Price wise, I think the ARDS test itself is about the same cost, I assume the Silverstone one includes some extra lapping first, doubt it will be a full day though.

We are able to offer ARDS courses at Anglesey Circuit in association with the Anglesey Performance Driving Centre - during any of our track days there. Has the advantage of not making the trip & taking a day off work just to take the ARDS course - you can also get a full days open pit lane track day in as well :-)
