I have decided that I need to improve my driving to properly enjoy driving my car on a track. Does anyone have any recommendations for good training programs to understand the basics of car control?

Palmer run a course out at Snetterton that both my wife and I have attended. We both enjoyed it and thought it worthwhile. One-on-one dedicated instruction in a Vauxhall VX220 in the morning, and in your own car in the afternoon.

I can highly recommend Simon Mason. You can either do a trackday with him (all day) or specialised tuition at Silverstone (1 hour at a time). He will get you faster and safer, and probably for a lot less than you pay at one of those Palmer corporate days.

See his sites at;
