Yes - albeit with the "old" pattern (2004 - still have a batch). Great tyre once up to temperature, pretty much useless in wet/damp conditions. Fine with ligthweight cars (I run them on the AS ONE). Let me know if you need any data.

Funny you should say that Felix - I was talking to someone about the AS One earlier today at Rockingham. Are you involved in the company? Is it still an ongoing project? I was hoping to see a bit more of it but it's gone very quiet in the last couple of years.

Hi , yes I've tried them. They replaced the Dunlop Formula R D01Js I had previously. Similar characteristics ie not too expensive , work well when up to temp , road legal so can drive to track. Dont think the compound is same tho , wear out faster! Car is a 911 ( 964RS) so fairly heavy eg 1270kg , and limited choice of alternative tyres were Michelin Pilot Sport Cup or Pirelli PZero Rosso - both expensive - or Toyo Proxes R888 - relatively cheap .

On basis of grip, and ability to withstand several heat cycles without going off, I'd say the Dunlops are good - they are very noisy though and you need to be very careful in the wet....

Calum used them on our 968CS on the Bookatrack day at Rockingham on Monday. It was wet, dry and in between. He said...

I was coaching a client at Rockingham in my Porsche 968CS. I had Direzza 02’s on it in the vain hope that it would be dry, or at least start dry, as I had heard frequent warnings about Michelin Pilot Sport Cups being lethal in the wet and I assumed, being cut slicks, that the DZ02’s would be similar.

I was delighted and amazed to find that the wet weather grip was way above expectation, to the point that, the only time the car let go was going through standing water as there were small rivers across the track in various places. However, despite it letting go very briefly over standing water, there was great feel, progression and the slide was small and progressive and easily caught. We were out with a range of Caterhams, Elises, Subarus, M3s and a GT3 Viper. The Viper was the only car that passed us all day.

I received many amazed comments about how the car looked like it was on rails and despite pushing very hard we didn’t spin once, nor leave the track. We also never changed to wet weather tyres despite several monsoon downpours.

Gobsmacked and can thoroughly recommend them for wet or dry.

Dry weather running I found them to be extremely good. They came up to temp quickly giving good grip from cold and allowed me to take such corners as Bridge at Silverstone on the Int circuit absolutely flat – no lift, no feathering.

Wear rate is pretty good as well.

I've used DO1Js and D02Gs pretty much exclusively for the last few years which I suppose is recommendation in itself.
On 964 again I find the grip almost as good as hot Cups in the dry almost from the off but are much better than cups when cold or damp/wet upto the point when there's standing water

I've used these on a Ginetta G20 195/55R15 and Elise 195/50R15 and 225/45R16

Very impressive. And surprisingly durable. In the Ginetta Championship we were allowed 18 new tyres a year, and I only used 10, as they are very consistent and take ages to 'go off'
