'Ring Veterans: where should I stay?
Discussion
Ben Lovejoy's Where to stay page will give you plenty to choose from. At this late stage you might have to go beyond the usual recommendations of the Ring Haus or Hotel am Tiergarten. On my last trip a few of us stayed in Berghotel Hohe-Acht which was close enough, nice enough and cheap enough that I'll be more than happy to stay there again in future.
For food in the evening then you have to try the Pistenklause at least once. The food's pretty good, the atmosphere and memorabilia on the walls (and ceiling) even better.

The Hotel an der Nordschleife is right next to Breidscheid and is a decent flop.
Then there's the Dorint at the F1 circuit if you're looking to spend a bit more. The am Tiergarten upstairs from the Pistenklause is clean if a bit soulless. The other Dorint (in Daun) is about 20km away but is a much nicer hotel than the Nurburg one and has some sporty roads to warm your tyres up on.
