Discussion
Cool - I'll have a think & if they still have spaces tomorrow I'll book it.
£40.00 for an extra driver is disgraceful! Why do you have to pay THEM for the privilege of having a friend or partner drive your own car - absolutely crazy.
Thankfully I'd be attending on my own.

Well said Hannah IMHO it's a rip off
I disagree. When a trackday company set up a day, they decide on the numbers of cars as one factor to decide the overall price. Even with sessions, maybe they plan on less than 100% of the cars in each session being out all of each of their session. With second drivers they def will be out 100% of the session. So no reason at all not to make a charge for a second driver. Besides it's a capitalist economy, they make an offer, you decide whether you take it or take someone else's offer if you prefer it. It's a benefit to you, so it's not unreasonable for the TDO to attempt to get a benefit back.
Maybe they want to discourage second drivers as those are the ones that statistically have most offs. That's certainly better at Brands that can be go/stop all day.

That's the beauty of trackdays like Marham - open pit lane for most of the day for £60. However, it's definitely not Brands Hatch!
Great price for Brands Hatch though.
i did an airfield trackday once at woodbridge - the track debris completely peppered the front end of my car, even going thru the fibreglass in several places. never again!Great price for Brands Hatch though.
