Ooh, Haymarket and Dennis in collaboration for the benefit of customers. Whatever next...

I thought I'd seen the last of Evo loving PH 9and vice versa). Thankfully not.

scratchchin 7 twenty minute sessions all day !!
grumpy £40.00 for an extra driver! not for me thanks. IMHO there is no justification for charging large amounts for an extra driver

Does that mean that for £150, you can do 7x20 minute sessions or is that divided amongst the abilities?

Cool - I'll have a think & if they still have spaces tomorrow I'll book it.

£40.00 for an extra driver is disgraceful! Why do you have to pay THEM for the privilege of having a friend or partner drive your own car - absolutely crazy.

Thankfully I'd be attending on my own.

I disagree. When a trackday company set up a day, they decide on the numbers of cars as one factor to decide the overall price. Even with sessions, maybe they plan on less than 100% of the cars in each session being out all of each of their session. With second drivers they def will be out 100% of the session.

So no reason at all not to make a charge for a second driver. Besides it's a capitalist economy, they make an offer, you decide whether you take it or take someone else's offer if you prefer it. It's a benefit to you, so it's not unreasonable for the TDO to attempt to get a benefit back.

Maybe they want to discourage second drivers as those are the ones that statistically have most offs. That's certainly better at Brands that can be go/stop all day.

i'd like to see more open pit-lane days at this price; can't stand sessioned track-time.

That's the beauty of trackdays like Marham - open pit lane for most of the day for £60. However, it's definitely not Brands Hatch!
Great price for Brands Hatch though.

i did an airfield trackday once at woodbridge - the track debris completely peppered the front end of my car, even going thru the fibreglass in several places. never again!

Sorry mate I hate to disgree with a fellow Clubsport owner biggrin but what you have said above makes no sense to me at all ! As far as I know the TDO pays an agreed figure to hire the venue. So it goes without saying that the more cars they can get on track (once they have covered there overhead) the more profit they will make which is ok by me. I think you will find it is the track owners who set a maximum number of cars per day and per session. Especialy at tracks like Goodwood. Yes a car with two or more drivers is likely to be out on every session but with twenty minutes on and forty minutes off per hour 99% of all the other cars will out as well. I share my Radical with a friend and if we do a three session event and one session each it means that we pay extra to get one run each every two hours !! As for me taking or leaving what is on offer yes we all have that choice and I try to avoid sessioned track days especialy with TDO who charge £40-50 quid for an extra driver. Interesting comment about second drivers having more off's scratchchin Where did you get that info from??

It's the Indy Track only. But that increases skill factor rather than tests Vmax. Not been to Brands before, but looking forward to it for a comparitively bargain price smile

See y'all there!
