Well, got all packed away from Spa, still got two cars to clean and spray with WD40 after all the wet weather, but a fantastic couple of days run brilliantly by gtdc and the ever ebullient and gorgeous Melindi (I guess with help from a few others)!

My first trip to Spa and I loved it, the Rad went perfectly and ever more astounds me with its ability to brake a microsecond before any corner.

Anyone else on here go?

I was there on Friday with my red R500 caterham. Great day in spite of the weather.

That must have been a bit hairy - Eau Rouge in the damp !! Was it still a worth while trip going there even though it was wet ?? (I know the answer must be Yes but I'd thought I'd ask anyway !!)

Looks like someone went off at Eau Rouge by the skidmarks.

That was apparently a couple of days before in a test session & 2 took each other off there.

It was a great couple of days despite the weather, was my first experience of Spa & I'd definitely go back again. Plenty of room on track, could do lap after lap & not see another car. Well worth it if you ever get the opportunity

I have been a nervous trackday driver in the wet, previously in the caterham. It was my first track day in the wet in the Radical and it was just stupendous with Matador wet tyres on. Two reasons...firstly just lots of grip and secondly very predictable and benign. The clubsport has a great balance of power and grip! Got some fun drifting getting back on the power after La Source - not quick but great fun!

So to answer your question, my first track day at Spa and def worth it even in the wet!

Without getting into a "my trackday car is better than yours", I am really enjoying the clubsport. Not quite the grandeur of the SR3/4/8, but just so quick and capable.

There were a few offs in the two days mostly at the top of Eau Rouge (Le Raidillon).

The only damage in the two days was metal and pride! Have fun next week. I am always amazed that in the briefing it is said again and again..."take it easy and build up". How many people go straight out, try and nail it and bang?

Take it easy, build up and have a fab time!

My liver is... liverish... it'll be a while before I say yes to the 6th Leffe on the last night again!

The Ferrari had very bad luck - he aquaplaned when going oh so slowly. The crash and burn marks at Eau Rouge from the test day before we got there were stupendous. Reminds you not to play with matches and don't take Eau Rougle flat until you are a big boy.

What a place! Can't wait for the next one. (now I've perfected my technique for identifying Belgian chavs during the booking process)

Here's a good example, a French chav on Belgian roads, spotted on the way back. If we hadn't attended Melindi's "chav spotting class", we would never have made the spot. And it's for sale...

That's got to rate 8 out of 10. Had the occupier had a mullet you could have had a full 10.

Somne of the guys on the trackday went over to the Ring on Friday morning. Someone had told them it was open. Oh the horror when they arrived to find that instead of many corners of ecstacy it was closed for Rock Am Ring (aka MulletFest)

They got back to Spa very fast, looking a little pale, trying to wipe the Rammstein from thir minds...

Epic track, get it right and it's fantastic, get it wrong and the penalty is high!! Had a lucky escape, and this happened before I had any instruction which was prosponed/cancel due to rain, had some instruction with Scott the next day and it feels much better and the whole track just flows!

Oh man!!! I've just shown that to Calum and he's instructed you through the whole thing... should have put a voice recorder on and written it down... Maybe I'd better show it to him again.

Top, top screaming... loved it.

You were luckier than a very lucky thing.
